Hubbard Hall (the Navy boathouse) at the United States Naval Academy

Our 5-day performance day camp is open to girls ages 15-18 with at least one full year (2+ seasons) of rowing/coxing experience. Campers will work in 4+s for one session per day, and merge together in an 8+ for the other. This camp is similar to our developmental day camps, but will work at an accelerated pace with an added performance focus.

  • For rowers: focus will be on individual stroke development and identifying better ways to more effectively contribute to boat speed
  • For coxswains: coxswains will focus on cooperative practice management skills (working side-by-side with another 4+) and strategies to aid their rowers in making effective changes to contribute to boat speed. Coxswains will trade off time in the 8+ and are expected to be actively engaged and observing while in the launch, ready to implement the coach's directions once switched in (this camp is limited to no more than 2 coxswains to limit launch time).

If you do not meet these requirements, please consider joining the waitlist for one of our two developmental day camps (open to all girls ages 13-18 with at least one season of rowing/coxing).
