Camp Airport & Train Station Shuttle Information
PRE-REGISTER FOR SHUTTLE PICK-UP AND/OR DROP-OFF
Each camp offers complimentary shuttle service to/from BWI Airport and BWI Amtrak, but pre-registration at least 1 week prior to the start of your camp is required (if we do not have campers registered, we will cancel the bus). Please register for pick-up and/or drop-off here. Your flight/train details will be collected.
UNACCOMPANIED MINORS POLICY
We are unable to participate in neither the airlines' nor trains' unaccompanied minor programs, so campers must be able to navigate the airport/train station independently for both pick-up and drop-off. For arrival day, campers arriving at BWI Airport will be met inside the airport, but outside of security (details below), but all other pick-up/drop-off service will be curbside and camp staff will not be able to sign off on any unaccompanied minor paperwork.
ARRIVAL BY PLANE | Ready for 2pm pick-up at BWI Airport
Flights should arrive by no later than 1:30pm to allow for adequate time to pick up luggage and make it to our designated pick-up point. Campers should pick up their luggage and then head to the Observation Gallery between the B & C Concourses. This spot is outside of security on the upper level, directly behind the American Airlines ticket counter. A camp staff member will meet campers there by 2pm and escort them to our camp shuttle for transfer to the dorm. Camp check-in will take place on the shuttle. Contact information for the camp staff member and additional instructions for travel day will be communicated the week prior to camp.
ARRIVAL BY TRAIN | Ready for 2:30pm pick-up at BWI Amtrak
Trains should arrive no later than 2pm to allow adequate time to get to the main entrance/exit of the BWI Amtrak Train Station (please note, this is a small train station easy to navigate). Pick-up will be curbside at 2:30pm -- please look for a yellow school bus. A camp staff member will meet campers just outside of the bus at 2:30pm. Check-in will occur on the camp shuttle and campers will be transported directly to the dorm. Contact information for the camp staff member and additional instructions for travel day will be communicated the week prior to camp.
DEPARTURE BY PLANE |Book flights out of BWI Airport no earlier than 3:30pm
Our camp shuttle will depart the Naval Yard by no later than 12:45pm. Flights should depart no earlier than 3:30pm to allow time for check-in and security, as well as possible traffic to the airport. Campers will be dropped off curbside as close to their departing airline's desk as possible.

***IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING TRAIN STATION PICK-UPS/DROP-OFFS -- we only offer service to/from BWI Amtrak. Penn Station out of Baltimore is a *different* train station and we do NOT offer pick-ups/drop-offs there! Please make sure to double-check your itinerary!***
Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY FLIGHT IS DELAYED AND I MISS THE SHUTTLE?
As flight delays are inevitable, we always recommend booking an early flight. It’s better to have a little extra time at the airport or train station than to stress over being late!
However, if your delays are significant, pending your eventual arrival and space, you may be able to get on the Boys’ Crew Camp shuttle that picks up after ours. If your flight is delayed later than that or if the Boys’ Camp shuttle has no room, we will coordinate a pickup from the airport for you by one of our camp staff. Please note that we will only do this for *delayed* flights -- if you choose a flight that arrives later than 1:30pm or a train arriving later than 2:00pm, it is up to the camper and their family to arrange for alternate transportation to camp (and the camper would then need to be able to make it in time for stadium check-in between 2 and 3pm. The airport is roughly 40 minutes from the stadium).
I'M TRAVELING WITH A MEMBER OF THE BOYS' CAMP - ARE WE ABLE TO CHECK IN AND OUT AT THE SAME TIME?
Our camp check-ins and check-outs are staggered: the Boys’ Camp check-in on Sunday is at 4pm (with a 3:30 pm pick-up from BWI Airport and 3:45 pm pick-up from BWI Amtrak) and their check-out on Thursday is at 10:30am (with a 10:30 am shuttle to the airport and train station). Our camp check-in is at 2pm on Sunday (with a 2pm pick-up from BWI Airport and a 2:30pm pick-up from BWI Amtrak) and our check-out on Thursday is at 12:30pm (with a 12:45pm shuttle to the airport and train station).
So, if you are traveling with one of our boys’ campers, you should plan on an early enough arrival on Sunday and a late enough departure Thursday to accommodate the Girls’ Camp schedule as outlined above. If traveling by air or train, the boy camper will need to wait at the airport or train station for the Boys’ Camp shuttle as there is no early check-in option available on Sunday.
For campers traveling alone, we offer a complimentary shuttle from/to BWI Airport and BWI Amtrak Station on Sunday check-in day and Thursday check-out. This is a separate shuttle from the one running from the Navy/Marine Corps Football Stadium for campers being dropped off by parents (that shuttle is available to all and does not require any pre-registration).
